ORIGINAL PLANES LEDGER ART - Native Americans surround a Calvary Strong Hold.

Several years ago, I came across a  relatively large collection of Ledger Art drawings by Sam Lomo in Colorado. The owners placed quit a few of them on consinment with me and all sold quite quickly. They kept many of them back for their collection and I have been bugging them ever since to sell the rest. Thanks to a rather  expensive kitchen remodel, they have decided to do so. lol. I will be listing a few at a time till they all find homes. If you  purchased one of the ones I had previously listed, I  apologies for not giving you first shot. I lost my contact list when my old computer crashed.    Sam Lomo was a Sioux Native American that worked in one of the old traveling wild west shows in the early to mid-1900s. He did these to sell to the folks that came to the shows. All are early to mid 1900s. He was a scout for the Army at one time. The guy that collected them originally was a traveling tobacco salesman and befriended him. He collected as many as he could get and also received some as gifts. The granddaughter now has them all. They were found in two suitcases in a closet when he the grandfather died along with some letter and postcards from Lomo. Many were framed and hanging on his study wall. Nothing is known about the unsigned ones but they are from the same collection. I think some are Lomos as the style is similar but others are completely different. There are also many by Nadya Loomis. She never signed here works as she never learned to read or right. Oglala Sioux Spanish mix. Worked prolifically from 1912 through the mid-1900s. Her style is unmistakable though. This one is unsigned or dated and depicts Native Americans surounding a Calvery Strong Hold. It is 9 3/4" by 15 1/4". It is very delicate and would need to be mounted under glass at some point. I have had bad luck sending glass framed items in the mail so I will leave that up to you. Glass frames are  inexpensive at Hobby Lobby or you may want to have it  professionally framed as it is a very  collectible work of  historical art. All offers considered. I find items that are unique and make  wonderful additions to collections or decor and list them with the information I got at the time I came across them with a  reasonable mark up for my time.
