10L179 FRASCATIUS ANCIENTS THE ARROWHEAD IN THE PHOTO IS THE ONE THAT THE AUCTION WINNER WILL RECEIVE. THE PHOTO IS OF THE ONE ARROWHEAD FROM TWO ANGLES (BILOBATE) FOUND ON AN ANCIENT SITE IN THE LOWER REGION OF UKRAINE THESE ARROWHEAD TYPES WERE ALSO USED AS TRADE MONEY BY THE SCYTHIANS. THE SIZE IS 29 X 9 MM AND 2.49 GRAMS. (Arrowhead is socketed)
The ancient Scythian’s had many bloody tribal customs, including cutting off the heads of slain enemies, and making leather bound drinking cups from the skulls. They lined these trophies with gold and displayed them to impress their guests. We do know from history that their bows could deliver an arrow 521.6 meters which is a little more then 567 yards according to the inscription found in a Greek grave which says "Anaxagoras son of Dimagoras" shot such a bow in the city of Olbia. When in war the Scythians are said to have carried from 30 to 150 arrows into battle.
