Eccentric Banker Massive Hoard of Wheat Pennies!

These are  Premium UN-SEARCHED by me/ not cherry-picked Lincoln Wheat Penny Rolls and my Feedback History proves it!  Here’s how I acquired them:

Eccentric Banker hoarded 500,000 + wheat and Indian Head Pennies, died in 1979, inheritance passed to his son, who also inherited the bank.  Son left the pennies (mostly in shotgun rolls) in personal vault at the bank. Son is now retiring, and sold ALL of them to me. My connection was through an Estate Planning Attorney. I cashed in one of my retirement accounts, took a leap of faith, and wrote out a very large check to buy all the rolls. I now have 10,000 Bankers Estate Hoard rolls of Wheat Pennies. I was allowed to randomly sample 50 rolls of my choosing before purchasing them, and this is what I found in the 50 sampled rolls:

-Only one (1) Memorial cent in 50 rolls.

-A high percentage of 1930’s, and of those, many are mint-marked, much more so than you would expect based on actual mintage quantities.

-A low percentage of 1940’s and 1950’s Wheats, compared to actual mintage quantities, but there were some 1943 Steel cents.

-Compared to mintage quantities of all Wheat Pennies, a surprising number of pennies in the teens and 20’s, some with mint marks.

-11 Semi-Keys were found (09 VDB, 10-S, 12-D, 12-S, 13-S,  14-S, 22-D, 24-D etc.)

-123 Indian Head pennies, mostly ranging from 1880 to 1909, but 4 were in the 1859 to 1879 range.

-2 Flying Eagles, -6 Mercury dimes, 3 Barber dimes, and 1 Seated Liberty dime. (Apparently the dimes were accidentally mixed in when the coins were rolled).

-Overall the quality of the pennies was well above average, most likely because they had been out of circulation for roughly 35+ years. There were only a few AG’s, some Goods, some VG’s, and some BU’s, but many of the pennies were Fine, VF, XF, AU, or UNC.

These are the same Penny Rolls which I have been selling on Ebay for the past 24 months, and feedback has been very positive. Please check my 5000 + feedbacks, you’ll see a long list of satisfied customers.

I still have about 4000 rolls of the original 10,500 purchased from the estate, and after a short hiatus I am making them available again on ebay, marketed to comply with ebay listing policies.  Each roll contains 50 U.S. pennies, minted anywhere between 1857 and 1958.  I have not had any reports of Memorial Pennies found in these rolls, although occasionally a silver dime is found. (See my feedbacks).  Please assume the value of the roll is primarily in the two end coins you see in the pictures, and that the remaining 48 pennies in the roll have a value of one cent each.  Keep your expectations low - and we'll both be pleased with the outcome.   I do not guarantee you'll make a profit on these rolls, in fact you may lose money, so please bid reasonably.  If you do make a profit - good for you, and I do not expect you to give any of the profit back to me. If you lose money on the roll - do not ask me to refund your loss.  Honestly, if you cannot accept a loss on your purchase - then you should not be buying penny rolls - from anybody.  NO REFUNDS, because once the roll is opened the fun mystery of the roll is gone.

It is my intention to market these rolls as FUN to SEARCH.  Within the guidelines of eBay Listing Policies, I want to share the searching fun with people who like to search old penny rolls and who can accept the responsibility of winning or losing on any particular roll.

I suggest you purchase one roll and see for yourself.  I think you’ll buy more after that!  I plan to list a just few rolls every week in both Auction and BUY-IT-NOW formats.

I SHIP the Next Business morning after your payment clears!

Your positive feedback is important to me, so please contact me before leaving any negative feedback.  Obviously I cannot offer refunds on these rolls because I do not know the contents! Shipping cost includes USPS tracking. Shipping cost on additional rolls will be $1.25 each, provided the additional purchases are within 72 hours of first purchase and paid on the same invoice. Please notify me of intent to combine payment. Thank you for your consideration and please see my other listings.
