Nice Antique Chinese Enamel Boys Pear Form Snuff Bottle, Canton, 19THC

Description   We are pleased to offer this fine antique Chinese enamel pear form snuff bottle. It is decorated with boys on one side and a sage or scholar on the other. It has a jade and coral stopper without any scoop. Most likely, it dates to the 19th century. It is about 2 1/8 inches tall without the stopper and weighs about 30 grams without the stopper. Overall, the condition is very good. There is minor wear from age and use. There is a minor flake and fine line in the enamel near the top. There is some surface corrosion on the metal rims, particularly the bottom rim. There are no other chips, cracks or repairs. The jade of the stopper has some inclusions/fractures. This fine antique Chinese snuff bottle is fresh from an old American collection.
