Gorgeous vase by award-winning pottery couple, Marcellus and Elizabeth Medina.  In fact, Marcellus and Elizabeth are the creators of the New Mexico Bowl Trophy every year!  Elizabeth learned to create pottery from Marcellus' mother, Sofia Medina, when she married into the Zia Pueblo from the Jemez Pueblo.  Elizabeth hand-coils the pots from locally harvested clay.  Marcellus is a self-taught artist and meticulously paints each pot with his unique twist on traditional designs. The traditional designs are zia birds with rain and flowers; the more modern designs are the beautiful butterflies.  Measurements: 5"h x 4-1/4"w.
