He has given talks to rug clubs around the United States as well as international conferences and has attended almost every ACOR ICOC since 1983. Charter member of the Textile Museum Associates of Southern California.

Wesley has been working with his father since the age of sixteen publishing and editing catalogs and writing bibliographic descriptions and reviews online. In 1998, with the help of a friend, he launched RugBooks.com and has been in the business for over 20 years buying and selling books on rugs, textiles and the people who wove them.
