NEEDS LAUNDERING: Vintage Feed Sack Hand Sewn Heavy WEDDING RING Quilt 91" x 76". The quilt measures 91" by 76" across and weighs 5 lbs un-boxed; the bed is a queen, 80" by 60". The fabrics are feed sack scraps, maybe some shirting as well. The setting and quilting were done by hand. The batting is the old "clumpy" cotton, very compact and dense, so the quilt is heavy in spite of not being very thick. We combine shipping.
- Condition: This quilt is dirty, which is easy to notice as soon as you see it "in person", it is not visible in the pics.. We believe that if laundered carefully all the dirt can be removed. Besides that, there are several flaws, not many for a vintage piece this old: a) there is one dark stain located, unfortunately, right in the center of the quilt, pic # 10 (difficult to wash off spot, we believe); B) there is a faint stain that might go away, pic # 11; C) we counted only 3 bad, frayed swatches, which is really minimal considering the age of this quilt; example on pic # 12; D) we found only 5 busted seams, also minor problem considering age, no pics posted. The binding is decent, no need to replace. The backing is off-white, burlap or sack fabric, with no damages or any special features, so we decided not to post a pic of it (if you want one, please contact us). In spite of being dirty, the quilt has no odors.
