Thank you., Country/Region of Origin: France, Details: For your consideration, we are offering you what I believe is a commemorative wedding ceremonial mug of the wedding between Napoleon and Marie Louise. She was the eldest daughter of Emperor Francis II of Austria. Her marriage to Napoleon occurred in 1810, and I believe this mug commemorates their marriage. The name Marie Louise appears at the bottom lower right-hand corner of the picture of the cup. This mug does have some chips around the bottom and top edge, as shown in the photographs, and there is a fine hairline crack at the handle. This crack appears very solid however. There are no manufacturers markings on the mug, it measures 3 1/2 inches high and 4 1/4 inches wide at the handle. While I was unable to find any documentation on this mug, I did find a portrait very similar to this in Wikipedia.com, which is stated 1810, along with a complete biographical sketch of her and her relationship with Napoleon. She was Napoleon's 2nd wife.
