A lovely miniature redware vessel known as a "target" oinochoe defined by a planar base, a globular body adorned with several concentric circular patterns, a narrow neck, a trefoil pouring spout, and a slender strap handle joining rim to body. The circular motif is boldly painted in black pigment atop a highly-burnished orange-red ground, and thin black stripes embellish the neck, spout rim, and handle. The target design was particularly popular on vessels produced in Cyprus at this time. Size: 2.375" W x 3" H (6 cm x 7.6 cm).
