Description: From the description of the life of Frederik Hendrik of Orange by Commelin. Interesting detailed map of the siege of Maastricht in 1632 by Frederik Hendrik.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Isaac Commelin' after own design. Isaac Commelin (1598-1676) was a Dutch historian. He wrote biographies of Stadtholders William I and Maurice, as well as 'Beginning and Ending of the Dutch East India Company', and a description of Amsterdam. He is the father of Jan Commelin and grandfather of Casparus Commelin.

Condition: Good, given age. Small margins, remargined at the left- and right side. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
