APX™ XE500 Remote Speaker Microphones (RSMs) are designed with the user’s extreme environment in mind. These RSMs feature an asymmetrical shape to help you find the controls without looking, even while wearing bulky gloves. The large push-to-talk button and an extra-large emergency button, which illuminates orange when activated, are easy to locate, but shielded so they're not accidentally activated.

XE500 RSMs feature a dedicated channel knob designed to mimic the channel knob of the radio. With the same fit and feel, firefighters can easily change channels when their radios are worn under a turnout coat. The XE500 RSM is now also available without a channel knob. Whether you are in the heat of a fire or exposed to extreme weather, the XE500 RSM will keep you connected to your team. Designed to withstand heat exposure of 500˚F (260˚C) for up to five minutes and an IP68 (2m, 4 hours) submersibility rating, it will perform in extreme conditions.

The APX XE500 RSM's five integrated microphones and Adaptive Audio Engine automatically change the level of noise suppression, microphone gain, Windporting and speaker equalization to produce clear and loud audio in any environment. The strategic placement of the microphones and enhanced water drainage provide users with the flexibility to wear it straight, upside down and even sideways while still delivering loud and clear audio.

Motorola Solutions' second generation Xtreme Environment RSM features a multi microphone array with enhanced noise suppression algorithms, water drainage in any orientation, and wind impact reduction technology to deliver the best possible transmit audio clarity in all common fireground RSM wear methods. In APX emergency mode, the orange button illuminates and the bright white strobe flashes for visual awareness. The strobe light also has a continuous on mode for operation in low to no light conditions. XE500 provides access to APX emergency, volume up/down, and one programmable radio function. Orders ship via USPS or FedEx and are generally received within 2-5 business days to anywhere in the US. In the unlikely event the item is on backorder from the manufacturer we will notify you immediately and give you an estimated delivery date. Please note, if the item is large, it may be shipped via FedEx Ground (6-9 business days). We are proud of the fact that we get 99% of the orders to our customers within 3 days. We primarily use USPS with delivery confirmation for smaller items, FedEx Ground or UPS for larger items, and insurance for high value items.
