The banknote is printed in black over a yellow and orange underprint. The front depicts a locomotive to the left and men working on a dock with a ship in the background to the right. The front also displays the date, denomination, and three signatures. The front also indicates that it was issued in Merida. The back is orange with allegorical figures at the center facing left and right. The back has a blue treasury seal and a square seal saying 2 CENT. This particular note has the serial number 229574 printed in blue twice on the front but not on the back. This is a scarce note in such high grade.
