Produced on a large elongated flake with a cortex retained on the proximal end and one face, that acts as a perfect handhold. The opposing face has been produced by a large, longitudinal removal with a few, further removals to shape. The distal end has an area of finer retouch and signs of use. Of note is a fossil (Plant?) along the main lateral edge. All with deep orange ancient patina. A fine, rare display artifact. Great Value. Size: largest : 16cm x 5cm From an old collection.
