In excellent condition for its age, especially the stitching and embroidery, though it is an antique and should still be handled with care. If you are unfamiliar with washing rare/antique textiles on your own, I would HIGHLY recommend having this item dry cleaned whenever it gets dirty. Parts of the silk are hand-painted and hand embroidered. This kimono is 63in from neck to hemline, and 52in from sleeve to sleeve NOTE: This item is 100% silk, and as such, is stored in a dry, dark environment with mothballs to prevent any chance of infestation. Hanging the kimono to air out for a day or two will reduce the odor, and of course, a light wash will eliminate it entirely. If you intend to keep this item with your regular clothing, keeping cedar chips in your closet should offer enough protection. However, if you intend to put the item in storage, I would urge you to store it with mothballs to prevent infestation. Condition: Used, Condition: There is some minor fading of the original silk, due to sun exposure. This is why it is so important to store items like this properly.
