This is a very playable and finely maintained copy of a Jacobus Stainer in Absom Prope Oenipontum 1665 violin. It was made in Germany in the late 1800s or early 1900s, and it is expertly crafted from fine tone woods.

The condition is excellent for a violin of this age. There are expert repairs and finish touch ups to cracks in the wood, and the varnish is rough and uneven in some places.
