Item:292240229759Large Early Antique Bronze Ship or Temple Bell From the ESTATE Peter Pellettieri Peter Pellettieri, a Fulbright scholar and recipient of a grant from the Italian government, Mr. Pellettieri's influence extended on a national and international scale. His work is represented in the permanent collections of major museums and during his career he executed numerous important commissions. From 1970 until he retired, he taught sculpture and glass blowing at Southern Connecticut State University. That institution recently honored him by naming him Professor Emeritus. As well as being an artist and teacher, Mr. Pellettieri was also a connoisseur and collector of early European art.Large and very heavy bronze bell with nice patina.
