I cherish them; from the rights to burn the flag - you know, I'm proud of their rights. But I'll tell you what. Let me tell you somethin' - we've also got the right to bear arms. And if you burn my flag ....... I'LL SHOOT YOU ! But I'll shoot you with a lot of love, like a good American." JOHNNY CASH Those words just wouldn't sound as good coming from anyone else but Johnny. He was invited to the White House by "Tricky Dicky" and being the penultimate patriot, he went, with June, Mother Mabel Carter, the whole Cash and Carter clans. But he found out the president was using him to get the "Southern Redneck vote" as it was later learned in the Nixon "secret tapes." Johnny went to Vietnam and saw the carnage and the desperation of the boys there, and realized Nixon was lying to America, and he changed nearly overnight. Still a patriot, but honest to the core and he told America what they needed to know. Nixon came to the Grand Ole Opry and was met by Roy Acuff. He played the piano to God Bless America on the Opry stage (photo on COA). He acted like he loved country music when in fact he loved classical and Broadway musicals. Johnny Cash didn't like being used and he became the MAN IN BLACK "until our boys came back." My dad, who made thousands and thousands of GOLD & PLATINUM record awards for Music Row and record labels around the world for 50 years, collected thousands of memorabilia in those decades and "hoarded" them in his workshop. I inherited his estate and have been selling awards and hand-signed photos, posters, album jackets and hundreds of collectibles since his death at 91 in 2016. I've yet to scratch the surface of his extraordinary collection of treasures. I find new items as I sell off others. I am a retired CNN anchor and NBC White House Reporter and can only handle about 100 items at a time. You can find my current listings at Davestraub47 on eBay. The COA for this item has photos of Johnny with President Nixon at the White House concert, June and Johnny with Pat and Richard Nixon, and a photo of Nixon playing the piano on the Grand Ole Opry stage. Nixon is the only president ever to stand on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. My dad knew Johnny, June, all the Carter's and Roseanne for many decades. Please send your name that you would like printed on the Certificate of Authenticity. Johnny's autograph (signature) is written in a silver paint pen. AS FAR AS I KNOW....ONE-OF-A-KIND ITEM (same photo or same hand-signed similar photo,). I HAVE SEVERAL. HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANOTHER LIKE IT ON THE INTERNET OR ELSEWHERE. Condition: Has been in father's framing shop where he made GOLD & PLATINUM awards for 50 years on Music Row in Nashville. In his estate. (Several copies signed)
