This is a Japanese sword wakizashi in mountings. The blade is signed "Masahiro 正廣", shinogi-zukuri shape with okissaki (long point), muromachi period ca.1500 era made blade. The blade is in old polish, rust, no stain and in excellent condition. The temper line is outstanding hitatsura with ji nie active temper pattern throughout the blade and has deep temper at the point also has long muneyaki . The forging grain is itame-hada, no opening, no blister and no forging flaws. There is no bend, no crack and cutting edge is sharp. The scabbard is urushi lacquered wood scabbard with iron kojiri , no crack, no dent no lacquer loss and in good condition. The handle is tight fit with shakudo fuchi horn kashira, tsuka-ito wrapping is no loose, no cut also in good condition. Tsuba is daengata shape horn tsuba in good condition. It measures 15+1/8" cutting edge, 1+1/16" width, 5 mm thickness at the notch, 3+1/2" long point and 23+1/8" in mountings. Shipping is $20 priority in U.S. Payment due within 3 days auction end.
