Seller: fine-dining-depot (15,825) 100%, Location: Saint Louis, Missouri, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 332773525383 Antique Japanese " TETSUBIN " TEA KETTLE POTThis one has an infuser strainer basket! (It is aluminum & clean). This is heavy Cast Iron and Black in color (little dusty in pictures, will clean up nice with a brushing), the inside is black with a sleek smooth coating of what feels like enamel, so it is clean and in good condition. It is in the pattern called "Arare" or "Hailstone" It is Signed by Japanese characters by the maker. Looks to be from ca. 1920-1950's. ( I did find one exactly like this with no basket that sold in 2013 on Ebay that claimed it was from 1920, and it sold for $265) The artisan who made this was truly a skilled craftsman. This measures 7" tall with handle straight up. And 5-1/4" tall with lid, not counting handle. Pot is 6-1/4" wide and 7-3/4" long with spout. Holds 3 cups of liquid without problem. I did fill it all the way though and it fit 3-2/3 cups without the spout over flowing, which was about 925 ml. This is in great condition for its age. handle is strong and moves without issues. no dents or tragic wear from age. inside and basket are smooth and clean as can be. the outside is just a bit dusty and a scrub brush will shine it right up. .................................................................................................................................................................... *No Returns/Refunds Policy*...Please Note that we do not accept returns or refunds for buyer's remorse. This is for 2 reasons- I provide photos of the exact items and not stock pictures so you can always see the exact item you will get. Also all of our auctions are "Free Shipping" to our buyers, but I still have to buy postage and it is expensive! I cant give full refunds on items when I cant get refunds on my shipping cost. Please see the many pictures above, read our descriptions, and ask all questions before bidding... Thank you *Damaged in shipment*... All of my items are insured against damage in transit, I pay extra for this! Do not ship items back for damage because this voids an insurance claim. Partial losses are paid as such by USPS/FEDEX, we don't refund 10 glasses because 1 broke and neither do they. All insurance claims are filed online now & there may be a delay in how long it takes the Shipper to process the refund, also USPS claims may require items to be physically taken the post office for inspection should they ask for them- We must have photos of the damaged item and the damage to the exterior of the box to process claims online, so you will need to be able to send us digital photos. *Items lost in shipment or not received*... If they are lost in transit, we will be required to wait the specified time by the shipper to file the insurance claim- there is no other way to do this as that is their rules and we will have to wait their time limits. Region of Origin: Japan, Age: 1920-1950's, Primary Material: cast iron, Maker: signed by artisan, Color: black
