Rare Japanese antique tanto koshirae. Very good parts.
Metal fitting : Made by a chaser (metal carving master) in Higo. 
__ Edo era. SAMURAI art etc__
Saya: Wood & Japanese lacquer
Menuki : Ushiwaka-maru & Musashibo Benkei(Red copper inlayed with Gold)
the legendary duel between MINAMOTO no Yoshitsune (Ushiwakamaru) and Musashibo Benkei on Gojo-ohashi Bridge in Kyoto.
Kashira & Fuchi & Kojiri : Peony (Iron inlayed with silver)
Meaning:Shishi is a sacred animal in Shintoism./Lucky charm
  The shishi : divine beast. / Peony : the flavor of peony has the numen to suppress the power of Shishi lion .
Tsuba : Phoenix (Iron inlayed with gold. And It was Japanese lacquering on iron.)
Meaning:Phoenix is a legendary immortal bird. and symbol of come Lucky(happiness) & longevity.
Used by only very high rank the Daimyo or Busho.
