Camera.

This "J. Lizars" "Challenge Dayspool" "Tropical" camera is in "as found" condition.
There are no holes or splits to the red tapered leather bellows, however, there is a little loss of colour and finish to the folds and corners.
There are no major cracks or splits to the teak body or back and
the wood has good depth of colour and patina that only comes with age and years of use, but, there are the scuffs, marks and scratches you would expect from an item of this age.
The front standard is missing two knurled nuts to one side.
The remaining brass work appears to be complete, although, it has tarnishing.
The viewfinder and ivorine plaque to the folding bed are present.
The camera extends smoothly and folds away as it should.
The back slides out and opens up well.
I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.
The camera is fitted with an "Bausch and Lomb" "Challenge" shutter, this appears to be working, although it has not been fully tested on all settings.
The lens is marked "Beck Symmetrical".
The makers Ivorine to the top still has a good colour and the lettering is clear and legible, but there is some staining.
