About artist A. Giannelli :
A. Giannelli, was an Italian master sculpture. He was born in Volterra, in 1907 and graduated from the Royal School of Art. Among his most famous work was the bust for Dwight D Eisenhower, for which he received the American President's personal
thanks and a three meter high totem for Boston University. In 1953 he was appointed the president of the Alabaster Craftsmen Guild. For his professional achievements, he was awarded the title of "Cavaliere della Repubblica" in Italy in 1970
