Seller: howardturner (755) 100%, Location: Ridgefield, Connecticut, Ships to: US, Item: 254003696846 This is a late Iron Age European Celtic Black burnished Terra Cotta Infant feeding bottle found in Southern Germany near the greater Heuneburg site on the Danube River, It is dated to 200-100 BC. The bottle has a round body with a rigid right spout for the infant to suckle from. It held either milk or water. It is 3 1/2" tall and about 3" wide. It has a small neck on top if the round body with a flaring rim. The rim is 1 1/2" in diameter. It is 100% intact. The rim has some very small chips as does the end of the spout--you have to feel them to know they are there. It comes from an English collection in London and has a COA from them, Bought in 2006
