Seller: 4cvgordini (1,460) 100%, Location: Denver, Colorado, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 221989631374 Kindly forgive my efforts at back lighting. This piece needs full coverage sunshine for adequate display, but my windows aren't large enough to light more than half of it. I will add pictures when I can take it outside (using a forklift - probably weighs 500+ pounds), or gather enough 8 foot fluorescent fixtures to fully illuminate it from behind. Right now it's resting on a wheeled angle cart, and the braces are casting shadows. Actual uniformity of light and color is excellent. There is not a distinct front or back side - both sides are beautiful. By way of provenance, I have only a strange tale of how the glass came to be mine. Since that may just be irrelevant hearsay, I will instead rely on the online appraisal included below - I provided pictures, and what little I did know to and they did the rest. Artist/Maker: American Title: Stained glass window Medium: stained and leaded glass Date: circa 1900 Description: A stained glass window featuring a heavy wooden frame, a repeating border of inset stained glass panels, geometric pattern of stained glass background and a central motif depicting a classical shield in golds, reds, greens, beiges, etc. The piece is an exceptional example of stained glass workmanship and artistry. Based on the photographs provided by the owner, the piece is in excellent condition. Comparable sales records (shown below) reflect recorded sales of similar works in type, style, execution or other aspects, including: A Fine Art & Antiques ResourceAmerican, Stained glass window, leaded, framed, multi colored decorative panels, 54 x 94 inches, Olde Good Things, Scranton, PA, December 3, 2015, $3,737.50 Check the reference piece above; not nearly as nice in my opinion. Just as naturally as an online appraisal requires a disclaimer, there is also the fact that this piece will have a limited number of potential buyers. Eight foot ceilings won't do. If this panel does fit in your design, however, I can say that the piece was under-described for the appraisal. I am just not going to open an eight foot hole in the concrete wall of the warehouse, so the glass is of no use to me. Accordingly, it is priced at the low end of the appraisal, with a Best Offer provision if it doesn't move. There are further inducements as well - it has been in this warehouse for many years already, so I'm not going to charge storage if you won't be ready for six months. Additionally, I can help with logistics, or even deliver/install it myself as part of a deal. Please note that the Shipping Tab shows local pickup only - that's because I want to use my background to find the best means for your shipping situation. If you need this in the Himalayas, I can do that. If you have a preferred carrier, they can pick up from a dock at a highway accessible (right next to I-25 in Denver) commercial location. By whatever means, this glass deserves to be back out in the world with light shining through it, not in a warehouse. If you have questions or need detail pictures, just ask; I will have full back lighted shots soon. Thanks for Looking! Dan Larson Condition: Unrestored. Originally sandwiched between plate glass for protection/preservation in oak frame. A very few of the original stained glass pieces show hairline cracks, but there is nothing loose, out of plane, recently repaired or anything but original glass., Maker: American, Type: Stained Glass Windows, Primary Material: Glass, Original/Reproduction: Original
