Seller: Top-Rated Plus Seller kaleesgma (4,668) 100%, Location: La Junta, Colorado, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 232928398695 HUGE COLORFUL NEOLITHIC STONE BEAD. This outstanding prehistoric bead is 1 5/8" long (40mm), 1/2" thick, and is in very good condition with nice color. I believe it is made of a dark rose quartz or perhaps agate. You can't tell this from the photos, but the hole doesn't go straight through as it would with a machine drill, but actually wanders a little on the way through the length of the bead, an indication of its ancient age and style of manufacture by hand. I can't imagine the time it took to make this by hand several thousand years ago. This is truly an impressive artifact. It was found in the western Sahara Desert of North Africa and is from the Neolithic Era (New Stone Age) which dates back 3,500 - 8,000 years ago. (I offer 1-day shipping as a matter of course, and ship the same day payment is received when possible. I figure once you've paid for it, you own it, and might as well have it as soon as you can.) As with all of my artifacts, they are guaranteed authentic for life!FREE SHIPPING of this item in the U.S. Shipping to Canada is $8.50. United Kingdom & Australia will be $12.75. GUARANTEE: If you are not satisfied with this item for any reason, return it undamaged within 60 days for full refund, less return shipping. COLORADO RESIDENTS will be charged 7.9% sales tax. The field of Sahara Neolithic Artifacts was expanded by the advent of GPS technology available to meteorite hunters in the Sahara Desert. Thousands of years ago North Africa was a temperate environment similar to our own Great Plains. Countless generations of Stone-Age Man lived, hunted, fought and died there, leaving behind their weapons and tools. Today, North Africa consists largely of the Sahara Desert, an inhospitable area almost the size of the United States. Constantly shifting sands and the ability to now safely travel off of established trade routes have expanded this fascinating field of study by making these artifacts available to scholars and collectors around the world. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: Import duties and taxes are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These costs are the buyer's responsibility. If you are concerned about them, please check with your country's customs office prior to bidding. Also, I do not state merchandise values below sales price or mark items as "gifts."
