It measures 5 1/2" high and 4 1/4" wide. The peephole insert is adjustable to fit the thickest of doors. This is an old piece of brass and has some spots of oxidation that can be cleaned fairly easily. The item is embellished with a Lion, Knight's helmet with plume, and Fleur de lis, likely part of the Hebert family coat of arms. The nameplate bears the name of Louise Hebert, the granddaughter of Frederick Hebert, and founder (1917), of Hebert Candies, located in Shrewsbury, Mass.
