A fine red-figure skyphos presenting an extensive iconographic/decorative program with a standing draped figure on one side and a nude figure resting upon a drapery covered seat and holding a staff in one hand and a cask in the other. Although this figure is nude, he is adorned by a wreath on his head and a strand of beads across his chest, both delineated in added/fugitive white paint. Additional details on the cask and the staff are also delineated in white as is the hair ornament on the draped figure on the other side and details of the stylized palmettes and tendrils below each handle. Adding further interest to the field is the band of repeated tongues just below the rim and the concentric rings under the foot.
