A fine wheel-thrown oinochoe (pouring vessel) with a ringed footed base, a piriform body with dozens of tooled ribs, a rounded shoulder, a narrow neck with a trefoil pouring spout, and an applied strap handle joining rim to shoulder. The majority of the body's exterior and the interior of the rim are colored with a lustrous jet-black glaze, though the interior of the body as well as the underside of the foot still exhibit the pale-orange buffware color. Scattered areas of faint silvery iridescence provide a nice complementary color to the glazed areas. Size: 4.375" W x 6.125" H (11.1 cm x 15.6 cm).
