RS-232-C/V.24 Interface Monitor and Breakout Box

The Datacheck family has a full complement of breakout boxes to test RS-232-C/V.24, V.35, RS449/V.36 and X.21/V.11 interfaces. High impedance sensing circuits with battery powered transistor bias networks ensure the interface circuits will not be loaded down.

The Datacheck Family of Breakout Boxes (BOBS) are handheld and lightweight with rugged ABS plastic construction with metal pinned hinges. Access to all conductors/ circuits on each interface lead are provided with individually numbered make/break switches for ease of identification. Dual pulse trap circuits isolate intermittent problems and separate red and green LEDs verify high/low/clocking/off indications. The DTE/DCE pins, and gold plated test access points have been grouped together for ease of use with independent high/low voltage sources to prevent line loading.

The Datacheck 7 allows you to view all activity at the same time for both sides of the circuit for comprehensive analysis. The Datacheck 7 is used to aid equipment installation and verify the proper operation of computers, terminals, modems or printers. Alternatively, it can isolate data transmission trouble or incompatibility between DTE and DCE.

The Datacheck 7 is a RS-232-C/V.24 interface breakout box. It allows access to the 25 conductors on both DTE and DCE interfaces to accommodate RS-232-C protocol. The 13-ounces unit is 4'' x 6.2'' x 1.75''.
