Welcome! Up for sale is a great knife to use and carry, or to add to your collection. This is the first model Gerber Fh, made in Portland, Oregon. (Levine's Guide) Francis "Ham" Gerber designed this knife in the 1960s. Has the checkered Walnut wood grips, hidden rivets (no rivet pins visible on the grips). The blade locks up solid in the open position with no wobble. 3 3/4" blade, 5" closed. Tang stamped on front GERBER > "S" > Gerber Blades logo > PATENT ..3568315 On back, tang stamped PORTLAND, OR. > 97223 U.S.A. The last line with the patent falls below the top of the handle grip, so can only be partially seen when opening and closing the blade. CONDITION: Used. Sharpened. Scratches on blade. A chip of walnut missing at lower end on backside. Handle grips need cleaned. Original belt sheath worn and used. Solid lockup, no wobble. This knife would make a terrific Every Day Carry for use on the job, hunting in the woods - anywhere you need a strong sturdy lock blade.
