American sterling silver round form open salt dish, decorated with gadroon border and standing on 3 applied figural shell & lion paw feet. Marked 481. Inside, there is a cobalt blue glass liner. Made by Fisher Silversmiths Inc., c. 1940-1970.

This stately dish is 2 5/8" in diameter, 1 1/2" tall and weighs 61.3 grams or 1.97 ozs Troy (without the glass).

 The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. 

 The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.

Should it occur in spite of our careful packaging, this must be handled through the shipping agent with an insurance claim. We will be happy to assist in this. Always be sure to retain all original packaging if a claim is to be made as the shipping agent may request to examine it. That being said, in over 10 years of internet shipping, we have had only one damage claim. Shipping is usually done within 24 hours of the receipt of a cleared payment.
