This is an Antique Cut Glass "Ferner", which is a footed Bowl or planter. Nice good size for cabinet display or use
This is 7-3/4" wide top rim by 4-1/4" tall.
It is from the American brilliant period, (about 1870 to 1920). It was made by Meriden cut glass co. This is called the "Shirley" pattern, which contains their "Mayflower" flower and a Hobstar motif with notched fans.
This has the cut 3 peg feet on bottom, and a thick high quality blank. this piece is heavy with good white clarity and light refraction
Condition: This is is good condition for its age of 100 years old- I feel no chips or damage to the rim, microscopic bumps I could feel with my finger seem to be the way its made, molding and cutting. The feet on bottom are not damaged and it sits sturdy. This is a great Piece and has in my private collection for a very long time
