Seller: robs268 (3,223) 100%, Location: Bungay, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 362218199339 THIS ITEM WILL BE POSTED FROM THE U.K. / BELGIUM FINE OLD ANTIQUE IGBO AWKA NIGERIAN CARVED WOODEN STOOL AFRICAN TRIBAL ART It may be a little late but I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I am selling quite a few pieces this week but as my end of year bookkeeping dragged on for far longer than expected (doesn't it always) I will be listing the vast majority of things tomorrow, Friday 19th so please look back again if you have time. Sorry about that! PLEASE NOTE: This auction is in GB Pounds Sterling. This is a fine antique, 1st half 20th Century, Nigerian stool most probably made in Awka and by the Igbo people and one of two Igbo stools I am selling this week. This example is less common and as with the other example it is thoroughly carved from a single block of wood in traditional style and even under the seat. It is a fine example and one of several pieces of tribal art I am selling so please view my other auctions. .***Please note that I will be posting from Belgium this week - which is why the price seems a little higher than usual. Multiple purchases to 2kg in packed weight will not increase the cost of shipping so this is worth bearing in mind It is my policy not to end standard auctions early with a 'buy it now' and at the end of an auction I will not make second chance offers. Please read down the entire listing for Dimensions, Condition, Postage & Payment Details - most of the information you will need is here on this page but please get in touch if you don't find what you are looking for. Condition & Dimensions Excellent overall condition. Age related wear and tear but no serious damage and no repairs. It measures about 26cms across the seat and stands just over 25cms tall. More than just a pretty picture. Try Vendio Image Hosting. Postage & Packing For your peace of mind and mine items will be sent fully insured. I will be posting on WENDNESADAY 31 JANUARY so please make payment as early as possible, ideally within 3 working days. PLEASE be a little patient with the post - I will get them posted asap but I work on my own, have a large amount to post and I do pack carefully. I also post in the order that things are paid for. Any delays by the postal services either at my end or abroad are rarely my fault and please take into account that your item will be arriving during the very busy Christmas period. I always post out at the latest 3 working days after receiving cleared payment but sometimes an item is slowed up by a backlog of post or delayed whilst being processed through customs. To give you an idea it generally takes about 3-7 working days within Europe and 9 - 14 working days to the U.S. / rest of the world. If speed is of the essence then I can use a courier (DHL / FEDEX etc.) but prices for couriers start at around £30 / £40GBP for the very smallest object and VERY quickly escalate depending on size, weight and destination. I add on very little, often not enough to cover the packaging materials, so the price I quote really is as fair as possible.***Please allow a little extra time for delivery as we approach the Christmas holidays. Payment Details (Important: Please Read) UK: PayPal. Rest Of The World: PayPal only. In the event of a recorded/traceable and insured item going missing in the post I will do everything in my power (provide proof of postage and evidence of value, etc.) to assist in obtaining a full refund from the postal service involved. ***Finally, thank you for taking a look at my auction and please have a look at the other antiques I am auctioning this week including some stag antler netsuke; several pieces of tribal art including African figures, sticks, clubs; some pieces from the Philippines including a large Ifugao Bulul figure; several Norwegian tine boxes; Yoruba Ibeji figures; headrests; masks; a fine Kuba cup from the Merton Simspon collection; Saami pipes; a pair of Native American Northwest Coast carved bone figures and many more interesting antiques from around the world.*** Powered by eBay Turbo Lister Condition: Excellent overall condition.
