A beautiful antique, Nottingham lace curtain panel, Dates to the Edwardian era, circa 1910 to 1920 and is in very good clean condition, Made in the United Kingdom, and a true Nottingham lace, made on the centuries old looms. Very well made of pure cotton and linen, with a lovely floral scroll pattern and tiny twisted triple threads for the "brides". Soft creamy ivory or vanilla color, not stark white, a very lovely color and is not yellowed. Very soft and supple, not stiff or dry, clean, handles nicely. Rod pocket at the top. Measures 87 1/2" long, when laid flat, and is 31" wide at the top, with the center area having more "give" due to the open weave. Wonderful drape from the natural fibers. Far superior to anything made today. Your home deserves the real thing, and these true European antique lace curtains are quite scarce today. Lovey as a curtain, a mantle cloth, or bed hanging, etc. Please see my auctions for more antique ribbons and fine textiles. Exquisite antique lace for re-purposing or just to collect and love.
