Biconical with ring foot and slightly everted rim. The decoration in black and reddish brown slip on a cream ground. Panels with chequer-board lozenges, zig-zags and vertical bands and main panel with long necked birds, five above and another thirteen below. 335mm - 13.25 inches. Superb surface condition. The piece has been excellently and professionally repaired from several large fragments with some areas of restoration on the under-side; but expertly done and only left visible on the underneath and inside.
