By the 1960s, Farmer was known as one of the Big Four civil rights leaders in the 1960s. This hand signed photograph was sent in the mid 1960s during the height of the fight for Civil Rights legislation. Original 8x10 photo features a great image of Farmer in front of an “END SEGREGATION ACROSS THE NATION" poster in the upper left corner. Farmer's signature that reads “Sincerely, James Farmer” appears directly beneath the poster. Photo and signature are in top condition, Signature in blue ink is sharp and distinct.
