IF I DON'T HAVE IT LISTED ON EBAY,

I DON'T HAVE IT IN STOCK.

A NOTE ON BLOCKED BUYERS / BIDDERS Blocking prevents any eBay buyer from buying or bidding on all "Emco_Hobby_Shoppe" listings.

I've known several eBay sellers that have quit selling on eBay. It's kind of sad really,  because I happened to know they were good people with a good product. It all comes down  to aggressively maintaining a good experience on eBay. To maintain that, we block any  buyer that wastes our time and or violates our stated selling policies. Having dealt  with tens of thousands of transactions on eBay I can confidently say "THIS POLICY WORKS". I don't feel like quitting eBay anytime soon.

Blocking can be the result of any or all of the following:

Endless Buyer tire kicking, questions and subsequent ghosting - Nobody has time for this.

Low ball offers especially on items without "Make an Offer" - These are offensive.  My stated price is within 10% of the actual selling price 99% of the time.

Repeated engineering questions (regarding SIZE, WEIGHT, LENGTH & DIAMETER)               AND OR  Repeated questions pertaining to parts INTERCHANGEABILITY between different  models or brands - This is the manufacturer's job.

Buyer's Remorse - Inventing a complaint for an "Item Not As Described" Return on eBay.  I've had transactions where the buyer throws the mounting screws away so they can return  a $300 lathe chuck.............

Any buyer that exhibits an excessive and extreme response to a simple suggestion like  "Please contact the Post Office if your delivered item is not in your P.O. Box". -  This suggestion should not cause anyone to go off the rails!

Any buyer that files an "Item Not As Described Case" OR returns any item where the  problem can be easily resolved.

This blocked buyer policy is final. In the past when I've reversed a block, 100% of the  time a repeat offense occurs. It's just in the nature of these buyers. But, not the way  I choose to do business.

Shipping
MY GOAL FOR SHIPPING IS FOCUSED ON YOUR PACKAGE ARRIVING SAFELY AND MINIMIZING MY LOSSES THRU OVER CAUTIOUS PACKAGING.

I discontinued offering international shipping in January 2019 on all new eBay listings after  a dispute was initiated by an eBay buyer in Italy that I could not agree with nor contest adequately  by email in Italian.

So, I won't ship international anymore.............................

If you want to purchase items on eBay from me, one method is to set up an  account with a mail forwarding service (just do a google search) to get a US based  shipping address (NOT A P.O. BOX). An added benefit of mail forwarding services is discounted  international shipping rates. A second method is to have friends in the US purchase  eBay items on your behalf and then ship them to you. A major benefit from setting up either method  is being able to purchase from thousands of eBay sellers in the United States.   Please note: I do not provide package sizes and weights in advance of actual shipment.

For items that actually ship in one package , I offer Combined Shipping .  The second (and subsequent) smaller item(s)  ship at 50% of the quoted rate. If "Request a Total"  does not work than "Buy It Now" and I will issue a REFUND for combined shipping on  the day I ship your items. You may have to log into your account to see the refund as you might not  receive notice, otherwise.

If I determine the best shipping method is Fedex or UPS, Buyer must change their eBay address to a physical shipping  address because Fedex/UPS will not ship to a USPS P.O. Box. In the event Buyer does not change their eBay address  to a physical address in a timely manner, Seller may cancel the order at it's option and refund Buyer's payment  in full.

Since I take a lot of road trips thruout the eastern half of the United States and Canada to obtain  new inventory; I can guarantee to ship all orders within 5 business days. To be efficient, I process  numerous shipments at one time before I make a delivery run to the Post Office and Fedex.  If you need faster shipping than you should probably look for another vendor. Typically, eBay will  automatically notify you with tracking numbers when I ship. Please log into your eBay account to check  the SHIPPING STATUS if you have any questions.

Everything I ship has TRACKING (a Paypal requirement).

USPS TRACKING sometimes does not pick up and track an item after it is delivered to the Post Office. I can't really account for this but it can be frustrating not knowing where a package is. As an experienced seller, I  keep substantial records on shipment dates and tracking numbers. Once, I shipped a package overseas that was not posted as received  by the US Post Office, not posted as shipped out of the country by US Customs and finally posted to tracking after two anonymous weeks  on the actual day of delivery in Europe. Since the Post Office doesn't trace a package when you file a claim until  3 - 4 weeks have elapsed  for domestic (and 4 - 6 weeks on international shipments), there's little that actually gets done "WORRYING" a packages status  until the suitable amount of time has elapsed.

We ship most of our items in Reused and Recycled packing materials. Some would call it trash but there are no food products in the box. This re-use is good for our land fills in Michigan.

I have to pay eBay and Paypal about 15% of the money I collect from you for shipping. Then I have to pay for   actual shipping costs, packaging, insurance, wages and travel costs to the Post Office to get your purchase out the door.

I don't offer freight as an option on eBay. Large items are marked "PICKUP ONLY". Freight shipment can be arranged but all freight on these large items is Buyer arranged shipping ONLY.  It's CHEAPER that way since I don't have to charge you eBay and Paypal fees for shipping. Everything you need to get a freight quote is typically in the listing *. I will provide the pallet  and band the item to it. You send me the BOL and I will attach that to the shipment as well. PICKUP is near Ann Arbor, MI 48103. A Liftgate is required.

*  If the shipping dimensions and weight are not specifically stated in the listing, I have intentionally left them out because  I do not wish to ship the item via freight. On ALL inexpensive items, freight is not worth the time and trouble to prepare a shipment.

ANY question pertaining to parts INTERCHANGEABILITY  between different models or brands unless stated in the listing

AND

ANY engineering inquiry regarding SIZE, WEIGHT, LENGTH & DIAMETER

Please join a user group and post your questions to the group (as noted above).

PARTS REQUESTS

IF I HAVE IT, IT'S LISTED IN MY EBAY STORE.

You may have noticed that standard eBay SEARCH doesn't always find my store listings.

If you want to find items in my eBay store, use this link: BEST STORE SEARCH link.

I get more than 1000 parts requests each year........

I don't have any software for keeping track of these requests.

The best thing to do is set up an eBay search on item for example

"Emco FB2 Mill"

and then save the search so you get daily emails from eBay.

PURCHASING
I purchase used equipment every day.

I do not purchase brands I do not sell.

I can be found at Emco Hobby Shoppe if you have something to sell.

NO RETURNS POLICY
I no longer accept returns; too many cases of buyer's remorse. You need to do your own do diligence before making your purchase from my store. For buyer's remorse, my only solution is suggesting  you  list  your unwanted item(s) on eBay. I do not offer partial refunds and or replacements even in the face of feedback extortion. In the event, I make a mistake about the condition of the item in the listing, I  offer  a  full money back refund (with shipping both ways) but you must return the undamaged item to me.

Exceptions to this policy: On some of my oldest listings, the description still says "I offer a 30 day money back guarantee but you must return it to me at your expense!" I will honor the 30 day return  policy  in those cases.

In the event of loss or damage in shipping (that is out of my control), you agree to cooperate so I can file an insurance   claim for the loss or damage and issue a refund to you.

OFFERS
I'm pretty close to the actual selling price on most of my eBay Store listings.

With my older inventory, if I'm motivated, I lower the prices gradually over time.

On occasion, some buyers make offers 25% or more under my eBay asking prices. In general, I respond unfavorably to low ball offers and especially so, when "Make An Offer" is not part of the listing.

FEEDBACK POLICY
I do not issue positive feedback immediately after being paid for eBay sales. I issue positive feedback  after the buyer has received the item and indicated satisfaction with it by leaving positive feedback for  the transaction. To be efficient, I issue feedback once every 2-3 weeks on all eBay store sales. I typically  have quite a stack of sales to process. It is not efficient for me to issue feedback one at a time to each  buyer so please be patient.

IF I DON'T HAVE IT LISTED ON EBAY,

I DON'T HAVE IT IN STOCK.
