Seller: dchousehistory (1,441) 98.5%, Location: Washington, District Of Columbia, Ships to: US, Item: 152334671383 Great restoration and wiring of this very early gas wall sconce. All you need is an electrical box on the wall - the push button on the brass face plate turns on and off. Very detailed brass work an unusual swivel arm so you can position against the wall, and then swing outwards when you like. (180 degrees). It includes the very delicate milk glass shade with no chips, and the partly frosted chimney, also very thin glass. The light bulb has a white fabric cover that makes it appear to be the original glowing gas, as well. It tucks into the base once a new bulb is installed (I'll include the burned out bulb for sizing). The brass arm extends 12 inches from the wall, and add about another 3 inches when the white shade is set atop the clear glass chimney. About 11 inches in height, from bottom of brass arm to top of chimney. Really looks attractive in an older house - we had ours at the base of the stairs of a large rowhouse. Because the glass is extremely delicate, I'll prefer to have UPS do the packing and shipping - they are the experts, and I've even had them ship old working neon without a problem. Their added handling cost of $20 cost will be worth it to ensure safe delivery. Pick up in Washington, DC is also an option. Questions welcome!
