It has been in a collection that for over 40 years and is fresh to market at a very reasonable price.It has an intaglio design to the underside and it is holed vertically head to tail. The condition is fine please see the pictures provided.A beautiful and unusual Scarab Seal Bead that displays wonderfully and whoever buys this will be extremely satisfied to own such a rare unusual Ancient item. As with all archaistic pieces very difficult to date exactly but most definitely Late Period Egyptian, most of the glaze absent.NO RESTORATION Taharqa690-664 B.C.25th DynastyTaharqa was the brother of Shebitku and was the third king of the Twenty-fifth Dynasty. Shebitku died and Taharqa was crowned. Taharqa is responsible for building done both in Nubia as well as Egypt. He built the colonnade in the first court of the temple of Amun at Karnak. There is one column that stands twenty-one meters high and is still standing. During his reign, the Assyrians threatened Egypt once again. The Assyrians were successful in one invasion in which they captured Memphis, wounded Taharqa and stole his family and property. Taharqa survived the attack.
