Seller: mbwakidogo (258) 100%, Location: Melbourne, Florida, Ships to: US, CA, BS, UY, Item: 163824266371 Nice, early WWII U.S. Army standard issue "Belt, Cartridge, Cal .30, M1923" woven canvas web ammunition belt. See American Web Equipment 1910 - 1967 by Martin Brayley, page 33, #3, and page 24, top left photo. The belt pouches held the 30-'06 Springfield '03 stripper clips or the 8 round M1 Garand enbloc clips; there were no internal retaining straps sewn in. This is an early (1941-42) WWII belt, indicated by the tan webbing pouch flaps and the OD green pouch bodies - existing stocks of tan webbing were mated with the OD belt and pouch material until the tan canvas stocks were exhausted. Almost indiscernable "US" on the first pouch, right side. There were some markings on the inside of the pouch flap, but these have been blacked out (see photo with arrow). Indiscernable markings on the inside of the left side near the buckle. Some fraying to the flap on the first pouch, left side (see photo with arrow). All "Lift-the-Dot"-style fasteners are functional; these are marked "Klikit" over a six-pointed star over "PULL". Large pattern brass buckle. A nice, early U.S. Army infantry cartridge belt in VG functional condition. Condition: Used, Condition: VG overall, fully intact and functional, some age related fading., Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
