EARLY 1900s WOOD HAND PAINTED CHILD'S CHAIR FOLK ART WOVEN GRASS SEAT.
This was from my Great Aunt's estate. She said that her mother purchased this for her when she was a wee child, from Jordan Marsh, Boston, in the late 1930s.
Chair has wear. Paint is scuffed off in places. The dowels are loose but all are attached. The seat weaving is in very good shape with just one spot on the under side that has broken, see photo. The back of the chair has the beginning of a crack, but it is not all the way through. See photos.
This is a wonderful old piece. A great addition to someone's collection or for display.
