(This is a GORGEOUS kimono! This is a sought after Kuro furisode kimono that is pre-war; or early Showa period with a lot of Taisho influence still in the stylying. :) There are a couple popped stitches at one of the sleeve seams; see photos, again, not too bad of a fix and very fixable at that. This is a GORGEOUS kimono! This is a sought after Kuro furisode kimono that is pre-war; or early Showa period with a lot of Taisho influence still in the stylying. The colors and designs on this one is really fantastically dramatic and if you've been looking for that antique display piece of a kimono that doesn't cost an arm and leg both to buy and then ship from Japan, this might be your kimono. Overall the kimono is in good condition; but she does have some smudges and small stains all over; it is a piece that's nearly a hundred years old. Some of the embroidery has come loose and will need to be re-anchored but it's a fairly easy job to do if you have the free time. :) There are a couple popped stitches at one of the sleeve seams; see photos, again, not too bad of a fix and very fixable at that. There is one little hole in the lining but just the lining and this is a fairly common problem in these kimono. I am open to reasonable offers on this piece.
