The Olympic Mountain Range stretches across the background. Joan Reeves is a Seattle native and finds her favorite subject matter in the varying scenery of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. The effects of light and shadow are a predominant theme in her paintings. Several trips to Europe have produced European-inspired series; Greece continues to be a favorite locale for paintings. Reeves paintings are widely exhibited in the Northwest.
