Seller: americassportscards777 (2,688) 99.8%, Location: Marietta, Georgia, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 323443256868 We go to estate sales virtually every weekend and come across a wide array of unique items. We are constantly adding to our growing online inventory. We pick up new items from all over the world and all over the United States. We add 25-50 new items every week and we will be continually expanding upon that number of new items weekly. If you'd like to, feel free to add us to your saved seller's list and check back often. We would be honored to add you to our repeat customer list. We also put items on sale regularly, so keep an eye out for new sale items. There is always a Sale by TheBay.We ask what we consider to be a fair price for anything we sell. We understand that our idea of a fair price may be someone else's 'that's too much' cost. If that's the case, feel free to make us an offer and will consider it. However, please avoid making low-ball offers. If you make us a low-ball offer, we will thank you kindly for your interest and respectfully decline your offer. Now onto the item for sale. For sale is a really unique Japanese dimpled red clay teapot. This teapot doesn't bare the mark of the maker, so we can't attest as to who it was made by.We sell a ton of Japanese, Chinese and Asian items on here and through our auction houses and this is certainly among the more unique teapots we've come across. As you can see, this teapot has a rather unique shape unlike any we've seen. The pot is red clay and it very well may be a Chinese Yixing, but we got it at a house filled to the rim with Japanese items, so we assume it is Japanese. The bulb like top and tip of the spout is glazed and there are three kanji characters in white glaze surrounding the teapot. The bulb like top acts as the handle to carry the teapot and tilt it for pouring tea. This teapot looks about flawless and doesn't have any cracks, chips, or other damage. Based on the dust that has accumulated on the bottom and appearance of the inside of the teapot, we believe this piece was used only for decorative purposes. This item will weigh more than one pound when packed for shipping, so it can't go first class. We offer several insured shipping options for this item, just make your selection at checkout. Thanks for looking and God bless!PLEASE NOTE: Ebay has been having an ongoing problem with FedEx shipping charges. More often than not, the shipping cost quoted on the item page will increase when eBay sends a notification/invoice to pay for your item. We NEVER send an invoice ourselves unless a buyer hasn't paid for an item for 3-4 days. The notification/invoice you receive is generated and sent by eBay. We have brought this problem to eBay's attention on many occasions and the problem has yet to be resolved. If you see that the FedEx shipping charges increased, PLEASE DO NOT PAY FOR YOUR ITEM until we send you an invoice ourselves. Refunding money after an item is paid for is a pain in the rear (to get a credit for the charges associated with extra charges) and we still have to absorb the 15% that eBay and Paypal charged us on the money we refund. We will send you an invoice with the originally quoted shipping fees by the end of the day, or the next morning if the purchase is made late at night.Ebay is currently working on resolving this issue and has heard from many buyers and sellers, but it's clearly taking awhile since the problem has been ongoing for several months now. If you look at many of our other items, you may not see this disclaimer yet, but it applies to all items that include any FedEx shipping options. We do not have the multitude of hours required to update several hundred listings, so we will be updating them when they are relisted. If you have experienced this problem, please understand the problem lies with either eBay, or FedEx (according to eBay, they aren't sure as of yet) and sellers are NOT increasing the FedEx shipping fees. Please contact eBay and inform them of the problem, so that they from enough people and finally get this major inconvenience fixed. We have never received a negative feedback in over 14 years on eBay. We understand that our customers don't have the security of picking up our items and inspecting them in their hands. We take numerous pictures of all of our items and provide a detailed description of any imperfections we may find. That doesn't mean we always get it correct. If we don't, we won't throw you out with the bath water. We accept returns for any reason and give you 14 days to make your decision. Even if you decide you just don't like or want the item, let us know, send it back and we'll return your payment immediately upon receiving the item back. We also pack our items very well. We use bubble wrap and/or packing peanuts with new cardboard boxes. If an item is breakable, we clearly mark that on every side of the box except the bottom. We have received dozens of positive feedbacks regarding our packing and we always pack our items with the same care we would want items we purchase to be packed.
