Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker (AVB) or Backflow Preventer used in water delivery systems.  

 

Lots of name changes over the years as companies sold or merged.  The Neptune Water Meter Company once made vacuum breakers.   But the instruction sheet with this AVB has the name ConbraCo Industries.  Wilkins bought Neptune in 1984.  This helps date this AVB as “vintage”.  Whatever, this is a brand new and fully functional vacuum breaker.
