This appears to represent a women wearing the early squash blossom necklace.The bright colors have held up well, and at the train stop this would have been noticed. Areal piece of early NATIVE AMERICAN HISTORY.The hopi are true craftsmen.From information this doll was a Hunter.

Toy: Native American, Plains Indian Toy Cradle, Beaded on tanned hide. Est. 1910 - This was likely made as a toy for a child. It is very detailed with a great deal of hand beading over the top; measuring an area of 4 1/2 inches by 3-4 inches long. There is a space in the beading to allow for the head of the doll. The hair on the doll is a fine black yarn of some sort. All of the decoration is mounted on a wood board, which appears to be pine. This item has not been age tested. I believe, do to the colors and size of the beads that this item is probably late 19th century or early 20th century: 1900-1925. It appears to be in all original condition. I have owned this item for about 30 years in a pet and smoke free home.

Vintage Hopi Pueblo Indian Highway Rte 66 " Rain Priest " Kachina - Sunface Mark - GREAT OLDER VERSION OF A RARELY FOUND " RAIN PRIEST " Katsina. Complete Set 5 Vintage Apache Indian Ga'an (Crown) Dancer Carved Dolls A+Details - RARE TO FIND COMPLETE SET OF APACHE GA'AN DANCER CARVING WITH SUCH DETAIL. Each figure wears classic cactus kicker hide mocs, has numerous hand made tin cones and bells on hide clothing. They wear the traditional masks and each has a belt with working buckles. The head gear is obvious in terms of detail and quality and they carry the traditional " swords" etc.. One of them carries a lance that is difficult to lodge in his hands so easiest to lie against his hand..maybe that's how it was made? The set came from a very high end collection in Arizona and is fit for the BEST of collections asw it is an investment grade piece/set. Rare to find and the set has a LOW PRICE !.
