The coin itself is a sharp VERY FINE with dusky dark brown color, with surfaces that are smooth to the naked eye but show just a hint of granularity in my large photos or with a strong glass.
1787 New Jersey copper 1/2p M34-J W5115 Deer Head FINE+ Furnace Run Collection - 1787 New Jersey copper 1/2p, M18-M, W5115, Deer Head, R3. This is a very sharp, glossy chocolate brown example with FINE+ details, maybe higher. This is a coin that would be 50/50 for PCGS grading: it's certainly sharp and attractive, but there is a very shallow scratch on the right side of the plow, plus an as-struck planchet flaw on the lower reverse.
1786 New Jersey copper 1/2p M18-M Bridle PCGS EF40 Double Struck Mint ERROR! - 1786 New Jersey copper 1/2p, M18-M, W4890, Bridle Obverse, R2. We believe that coin collecting should be fun, and it isn't fun if you have a bad experience.
1783 Nova Constellation copper, small "US", pointed rays - 1783 Nova Constellation copper, with a small "US", and pointed rays, with a star in between each longer ray. The obverse shows in the center, an eye, the "Eye of Providence", or "All-seeing Eye of God". Radiating out from that center are pointed rays. The legend around the border shows "NOVA CONSTELLATION". On the reverse, is a wreath, with the smaller of the two sizes of lettering "US" in the center. Around the outside of the wreath is " LIBERTAS *JUSTITIA ". At the bottom center is the date, 1783. The left side of the "U" in the "US" is strong, but the right side is very weak. The "S" just doesn't show up. Both sides are medium to dark brown in color.
1787 New Jersey, Nova Caesarea, copper, - 1787 New Jersey, Nova Caesarea, copper, outline to shield. The obverse shows the horse's head, to the right, above the plow, to the right. The legend around the upper half is "NOVA CAESAREA". The date, 1787, is below the plow, at the bottom center. The reverse shows a U.S. type shield. This variety shows the shield clearly has an outline around it also. The legend around the border is "E PLURIBUS UNUM". This was the first coin type the motto appeared on, and translates "FROM MANY, ONE". Overall color is medium to dark brown, with the raised lettering and design features being the lighter color against the darker fields. The couple of light marks on the shield are only typical for the age and circulation.

1787 Nova Caesarea (New Jersey) copper, Serpent head type - 1787 Nova Caesarea, New Jersey copper. The obverse show a horse's head to the right, over a plow. This variety is called the "serpent head" type , as the horse representation is a bit different in style, and resembles a serpent or maybe dragon head as much as a horse. The motto around the obverse is "NOVA CAESAREA" with the date, 1787, at the bottom center below the plow. The reverse shows a United States type shield in the center, and the first use of the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM", (From many, one.) The reverse lettering is light at the edges, as was likely the case when struck. The surfaces are mostly medium to dark brown, with a little scattered porosity texture.

1723 Hibernia 1/4 penny (farthing), NGC Unc. Details,Environmental damage - 1723 Hibernia 1/4 penny (farthing), NGC, "Unc. Details, Environmental Damage", label description. The piece does not show any wear, as the label indicates, and the environmental damage, seems to be some slight surface porosity on the areas that appear slightly darker color than the overall surface color. Very highly detailed bust/portrait to the right on the obverse. The NGC label designates it as a "DEI GRATIA " type. The obverse legend, around most of the border is "GEORGIUS.DEI. GRATIA.REX". The reverse shows a lady seated, facing to her right, with a small sprig in her right hand. On her left, she is leaning on a harp, with her left elbow/arm. Very nice detail in the face and hair of the lady, as well as her dress. The harp and the front figure on it, also show full details.
1723 Hibernia 1/2 penny, NGC AU details, improperly cleaned - 1723 Hibernia 1/2 penny. NGC holder shows the grade to be "AU Details, Improperly cleaned". The piece currently shows a nice brown color, and no indication of any abrasive type of cleaning. The small area behind the head on the obverse, and the figure of the seated lady on the reverse,4 show a little more coppery color, which may be the cause for the label description. Overall, very attractive piece on both sides. The obverse shows very detailed, right facing bust/portrait, with the legend "GEORGIUS.DEI.GRATIA.REX.", around most of the border. The reverse seated figure of a lady, holding a small sprig in her right hand, and leaning on a harp with her left elbow/arm. Around the upper border is "HIBERNIA. 1723".

Revolutionary War 1775 George III Half-Penny Bronze Coin, Note The Damage! BoxE - Wow! Somebody in possession of this coin must have not liked king George III very much, as it looks like the eyes and the throat of the George III portrait have been intentionally defaced. Given the fact that this coin has very well been in the pockets of revolutionary heroes- it’s not surprising that a coin minted a year before the signing of the Declaration of Independence, someone might have had a grudge against the British king. Very cool piece of American Revolution History!
