This beautiful quilt was pulled from a hoarder's estate along with several others listed in my store. Because the house sat empty & full for over a year, the quilts sustained some soil and they have all been tub-soaked and hung to dry in the country air. I did not use any fabric softeners, as there are so many people allergic to the fragrance, so they are on the crisp side. This quilt I wasn't sure I would be able to save because it was very dirty, but we all love the old red quilts so I had to try. It actually came out much whiter than I thought it would. However the repeated soakings have caused the blue circles on the white fabric to fade and has caused the red to bleed a little here and there. The edges have also acquired some fraying. One stain remains in the center as well as some other random spots. There is lots of good here, though, and the stitching is tight. It would still be beautiful on a quilt rack and would make an excellent cutter. This is a medium weight quilt and the batting has a little separation (seen in the photos from the backside).
