There are three blades of increasing size that rotate out of the brass case. The instrument is 3" long and 1" at its widest part. The smallest blade is engraved " I*XL George Wostenholm Celebrated". George came from a long line of cutlers in the Sheffield area beginning with his great grandfather who spelled his name George Wolstenholme (b. 1717) . The case and blades are in excellent condition. It is well constructed with clear evidence that the maker paid attention to detail. Wostenholm cutlery is sought by collectors. See images for condition. Questions are welcome.
