A Chrysanthemum Swirl, Syrup Pitcher by Northwood/Buckeye Glass. It is late 19th Century /early 20th century. It has opalescent swirl stripes on colorless ribbed body, and a lid with a missing top that covers the spout. It measures 6 1/2 “ high and 4 “wide. The base is 2 1/2” with a crosshatch mark.
The Buckeye Glass Company opened in 1878. The company discontinued production of opalescent glass and closed in 1896. The glass pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The spout cover is missing from the top although the remaining hardware is intact and in good condition.
